Fairfield volleyballers, coach all-district selections

Chalk up another round of honors to the Fairfield volleyball team?s players and coach.

Senior Tori Ogden, junior Erin Thompson and sophomore Sydney Burnett, along with head coach Nancy Diers, were all-district selections for the Southeast District this season.

Ogden, who also earned all-state honorable mention, made the all-district team after tallying team highs in kills (235) and digs (392) this fall.

Thompson posted 142 kills with a team-best kill efficiency of .201, while Burnett put up 390 assists in her second season as a varsity setter.

Diers nabbed the district?s coach of the year honor after leading the Trojans to a 28-10 mark and the program?s fifth conference title in the past six years.
