Fairfield wallyball players win state title
Joel Price, Sim Buckley, and Ted Wallace won the 9th Annual Iowa State Wallyball Tournament in Eldridge Saturday.
Teams came from as far as Texas, Kentucky, and Minnesota to compete in the tournament. There were a number of Iowa teams as well.
The Fairfield trio went 15-1 overall and won the final game 2-1 for the title.

?There has been a wallyball club in Fairfield for 35 years,? Wallace said. ?We have a strong tradition and we have a good base of players.?
Wallace also estimates that 30 to 40 people in the Fairfield community are active players of wallyball.
