Fairfield wins Southern Iowa Classic title
Trojans take crown at home meet followed by Mt. Pleasant and Washington

FAIRFIELD — Fairfield hosted the Southern Iowa Classic on Saturday, which featured fellow Southeast Conference foes in Fort Madison, Mt. Pleasant, Burlington, Washington and Keokuk as well as Prairie City Monroe (PCM).
It was a great day for the host Trojans as Fairfield took the team title with a score of 194. Mt. Pleasant finished fourth with a score of 151.5, while Washington took sixth with 125 points.
Fort Madison finished second with 176 points, PCM third with 153, Burlington fifth with 131.5 and Keokuk seventh with 19.5.
Fairfield finished with six first-place winners in the competition.
Dre Smithburg (215), Dain Burkhart (175), Cason Miller (157), Zandrik Allison (144), Aiden Westercamp (138) and Cael McCabe (113) were all winners for Fairfield.
Mt. Pleasant was led by two winners. Payton Walker was a winner at 190 and Ramzy Davis at 150.
The Panthers had a slew of third-place finishers as well. Levi Evans (106), Landon Beckler (113), Cruz Aguilar (120), Lane Beckler (126) and William Birdsell (215), all took the bronze.
Washington had a pair of winners as well in Blaine Rees (165) and Aaron Boone (132). Nate Edmonds (113) finished second as well as Jude Carter (144).
Joseph Schreiber (106) and Sam Mason-Goff (175) both placed fourth.
