Fairfield Youth Football opens registration
Registration and practice dates have been set for the eight season of the Fairfield Youth Football League open to fifth and sixth-grade students.
Registration and equipment check-out will take place behind Fairfield High School 1-3 p.m. Sunday, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Aug. 18 (Meet the Trojans Night) and 1-3 p.m. Aug. 21.

Registration and practice dates have been set for the eight season of the Fairfield Youth Football League open to fifth and sixth-grade students.
Registration and equipment check-out will take place behind Fairfield High School 1-3 p.m. Sunday, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Aug. 18 (Meet the Trojans Night) and 1-3 p.m. Aug. 21.
Orientation for fifth-grade players will be Aug. 29 and all players in grades 5-6 will have camp 6-7:30 p.m. Aug. 30 through Sept. 1. Regular practices will then be held every 5:30-7 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday night beginning Sept. 6 and last through the duration of the season.
Games will be played Sunday afternoons in September and October on the practice fields at FHS.
Cost is $50, which includes all equipment necessary to participate, a t-shiirt and the youth football camp.
Ken Malloy is entering his first season as head of the board of directors and noted it is an instructional league and the mission is to teach the fundamentals of football in a positive and fun environment.
