LETTS - The Columbus High School football team lost its road game Friday 54-8 at Louisa-Muscatine to fall to 1-3.
'We got dealt a tough hand with some injuries this week in practice and responded by managing the ball well on offense,” Columbus coach Tyler Kibbe said. 'We unfortunately blew assignments on defense and did not help manage the game. It's a hard learning opportunity that we will review and adjust from moving forward.”
Jeff Hoback went 3 for 5 passing with a scoring pass to Wildcat teammate Tucker Bright of 15 yards. Mason Hodges had 29 carries for 77 yards.
Columbus hosts North Cedar Friday.
