Fall sports officially upon us
Fairfield, Mt. Pleasant host ‘Meet the Players’ events
The 2022 fall sports season has officially begun. Friday night marked an intro to the area’s new squads for a few schools in Southeast Iowa, including Fairfield and Mt. Pleasant, which both held ‘Meet the Players’ night.
After food and acknowledgment of students participating in fall athletics, both schools played host to a little football. Fairfield scrimmaged Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, and Mt. Pleasant held some intrasquad action in front of the home fans.
Fairfield’s volleyball team was also in action. Inside the Trojan gym, the volleyball players played each other in their own intrasquad contests.
