WAYLAND — The WACO volleyball team has been putting up numbers this season, currently sitting at an impressive 14-8, a year after losing much of their productivity to graduation.
A major key for the 2023 Warriors has been production from the service line, and in the last handful of years, nobody has done that better than senior Marie Farmer.
A couple of weeks ago, Farmer broke the WACO career aces mark, eclipsing 155 service aces to take over first place.
A good portion of those aces came last year, as Farmer had an unreal junior year from behind the line. Farmer finished the 2022 season with 97 aces.
Currently, Farmar has 14 of the Warriors’ 146 aces on the season.
WACO has two Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division battles this week, one on Tuesday at Winfield-Mount Union and one against Columbus on Thursday. The Warriors will play in the Washington Invitational on Saturday.
