1. Trojans reached the above-.500 threshold in 2021, going 5-4.
2. Fairfield won five of its first six games last season.
3. Trojans defeated rival Mt. Pleasant 27-18 last year, beating the Panthers for the first time since 2016.
4. Fairfield brings back All-State tight end Max Weaton, who caught 40 passes for 526 yards and eight touchdowns in 2021.
5. Trojans also return quarterback Tate Allen, who threw for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns, as well as running back Hunter Cecchini, who carried the ball 55 times for 405 yards and five scores.
