Final rankings out

Fairfield High School moved up to third in the final softball rankings by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.

The final Class 5A, 4A and 3A rankings were released Wednesday.

Fairfield was ranked sixth previously. Fellow Southeast Conference member Burlington moved up two spots.

River Valley Conference members West Liberty and Anamosa were ranked in 3A as was Super Conferece's West Burlington/Notre Dame.
