Final volleyball rankings released

The final volleyball rankings of the 2019 season were released Monday by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.
Southeast Conference member Burlington fell out of the Class 4A top 15 after losses to 5A No. 10 Bettendorf and No. 14 Iowa City High.
River Valley Conference members West Liberty fell to fifth in 3A and Tipton fell to eighth. They were ranked second and third respectively last week. Wilton is No. 4 in 2A.
Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division champion Mediapolis suffered its first loss of the season to 5A No. 2 Iowa City Liberty, but remained No. 2 in 2A. SEISC South Division champion Van Buren remained at No. 8
In 1A, SEISC South Division rivals New London and Holy Trinity are Nos. 7 and 8 respectively. Holy Trinity remained in the same spot, but New London jumped up from No. 10.
