Fire burns bright at Iowa Games soccer
After settling for runner-up finishes the previous two years, the Fairfield Fire 19-and-under soccer team took the Iowa Games by storm winning all four games to take home gold medals.
In the qualifying round, Fairfield beat Atlantic Gold 13-0, the Carroll Blazers 5-2 and Nodaway United 8-0. In the championship game, the Fire upended the Dyersville Blaze by a score of 5-3 for the team title. With the win, Fairfield

With the win, Fairfield also qualifies for the 2011 State Games of America in San Diego August 4-11.
