FMS ?A? teams win both games vs. Ottumwa Tuesday
Luis Jimenez scored two touchdowns and hit a clutch 18-yard field goal with three minutes remaining, and the FMS eighth-grade ?A? team beat Ottumwa?s Evans Middle School 17-14 on Tuesday.

The ?B? team lost 14-8. Nick Pergiel and Drew Stever both tallied a sack. Justin Swanson scored the team?s lone touchdown on a kickoff return. Cody Mathis scored on a two-point conversion.
The eighth-graders will travel to Washington Monday.
Seventh-grade ?A? team wins
Fairfield?s seventh-grade ?A? team used a two-point conversion with under a minute to go to beat Ottumwa?s Evans Middle School 24-22 Tuesday.
Tony Zapata rushed for 149 yards on 25 carries, including rushing touchdowns of nine, 43 and four yards. The quarterback also was 6-of-9 for 82 yards passing.
Josh Osby and Denver Schultz did all the receiving for the Trojans. Osby hauled in four catches for 35 yards and Schultz had two receptions for 47 yards.
Defensively, Michael Fritz and Zapata had 12 and 11 tackles, respectively, while Trent Hanen added five.
The ?B? team lost to Evans Middle School 24-0 to fall to 1-2-1 on the season.
Charles Heisel gained 43 yards rushing on 10 carries and led the defense with four stops. Baily Jones added three tackles.
The next matchup for the seventh-graders is Monday against Washington, followed by the season finale at Burlington Aldo Leopold Thursday.
