FMS netters play Keokuk
KEOKUK ? The brooms were out in full force Tuesday as the Fairfield eighth-grade volleyball team took on Keokuk.
The eighth-graders were able to sweep away Keokuk in all eight games, starting with a 21-14, 21-8 victory in the ?A? game.
Kenady Waugh led the Trojans with five ace serves, and Natalie Angstead had three assists and four kills in the rout.

KEOKUK ? The brooms were out in full force Tuesday as the Fairfield eighth-grade volleyball team took on Keokuk.
The eighth-graders were able to sweep away Keokuk in all eight games, starting with a 21-14, 21-8 victory in the ?A? game.
Kenady Waugh led the Trojans with five ace serves, and Natalie Angstead had three assists and four kills in the rout.
The ?B? team won 21-18, 21-8. Jada Lippincott had 12 points from the service line and a kill. Nichelle Blakeney contributed with one kill, and Shelby Heston had a kill and block.
Olivia Hammel fired off five aces to lead the ?C? team to a close 21-17, 23-21 win. Heston recorded another three kills in the match.
The Trojan ?D? team concluded the evening with a 21-19, 21-7 win. Chloe McClaran totaled six aces and Shelby McKune had 11 passes.
The Trojans play at Burlington?s Edward Stone on Monday.
Seventh-graders win ?B? game
The FMS seventh-graders hosted Keokuk on Tuesday.
In ?A? action, Fairfield fell to Keokuk 23-25, 21-14, 9-15. Taylor Myers led the way with five aces, and Ashley Pool and Ashtyn Drish dominated with attacks.
Macy Holderbaum had five aces to help the ?B? team to a 21-17, 21-17 victory. Kristin Burnstedt and Alie Kensett had four attacks apiece.
In the ?C? game, the Trojans split 21-18, 18-21. Maddie Smith had three attacks, and Shanti Williams provided great defense.
The ?D? team split with Keokuk 11-15, 15-8. Kai-Li Dialjee served up four aces and Anna Beasley led the team defensively.
The Trojans continue their homestand Monday against Burlington?s Aldo Leopold.
