FMS wrestles to 24-16 mark

FORT MADISON ? Fairfield Middle School?s wrestlers battled to another winning record Tuesday at a quadrangular in Fort Madison.

With seven double-winners on the night, the Trojans finished with an overall record of 24-16. In addition to host school Fort Madison, Washington and Keokuk were in attendance.

Derek Beasley, Michael Fritz, Trenton Hanen and Jose Rojo each won by fall twice. Dylan Abbott won by fall and 15-4 major decision, while Charles Heisel pinned one opponent and earned a 10-7 decision against another. Dallas Peebler also won two matches, winning by 9-7 decision and by pin.

Zach Barnes, Gannon Courtright, Brendon Lunsford, Bailey Kemp, Chris Hanson and Simon Spalla each won by fall once.

Walker Allen, Mitch Taglauer and Austin Winslow all won a match by major decision, while Alex Sisomphane earned a win by decision.
