Football rankings: WACO finishes No. 2
Warriors stay in Top-2 heading in to Class 8-Player postseason

The final Cedar Rapids Gazette prep football rankings before the 2022 postseason have been released and the WACO Warriors will have a Top-2 spot heading into the Class 8-Player playoffs.
The Warriors picked up 50 votes in the latest poll, 10 behind unanimous No. 1 Remsen, St. Mary’s, but two ahead of Don Bosco.
In Class 1A, Sigourney-Keota picked up seven votes, just one away from a Top-10 spot. In Class A, Columbus received two votes after a close loss to No. 10 Alburnett.
These are the last full football rankings of the year. There will be one final poll out next week for Class 3A, 4A and 5A.
