Football roundup: No. 5 WACO gets by Iowa Valley

No. 5 (Class 8-Player) WACO 46, Iowa Valley 22
WACO picked up win number two on Friday night with a victory over Iowa Valley.
The Warrior's defense was all over the place through a half as they led 20-0 through two quarters.
WACO continued to tack it on in the third, adding another 12 to its total for a 32-6 advantage heading into the fourth.
The Tigers outscored the Warriors 16-14 in the fourth, but the WACO lead was too great.
Clayton Miller went 5-for-7 in the passing game for 84 yards and two touchdowns. He also led on the ground with 125 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries.
Louden Huisenga followed with 84 rushing yards and two touchdowns as well. He also reeled in three passes for 61 yards and two scores.
On the defensive end, Huisenga finished with 8.5 tackles and two for a loss.
Sigourney-Keota 21, No. 8 (Class 2A) Mediapolis 0
Sigourney-Keota shut out the No. 8 Bulldogs on Friday.
The Cobras led just 7-0 at the half but found the end zone twice between the third and fourth quarter to seal it.
Sawyer Stout led the Cobras with 75 yards passing and one touchdown. Jake Moore threw a touchdown as well.
Issac Bruns ran for 131 yards on the ground with one score.
Cole Kindred and Brody Greiner each caught one pass, both for scores.
Moore ended with a team-high 7.5 tackles.
Columbus 49, Wapello 6
Columbus bounced back after a week one loss on Friday with a big win over Wapello.
The Wildcats scored 35 points in just the first quarter on their way to the 43-point victory.
Kaden Amigon ran for 164 yards and five touchdowns in the win. Riley Kaalberg ran for 73 as well.
Defensively, Elliot Wessley had a team-high five tackles.
Pekin 52, Van Buren County 12
Pekin put together a dominant performance against Van Buren County on Friday.
Will Adam threw for 169 yards and two touchdowns.
Sven Dahlstrom ran for 157 yards and two scores, while Riley Smith followed with 152 yards and one touchdown.
Robert Brown, Adam and Henry Adam also ran for a touchdown.
Henry Adam led in receiving with 76 yards on three catches. Dahlstrom and Brown both caught touchdown passes in the victory.
Nolan Glick and Dahlstrom finished with a team-high 5.5 tackles.
Danville 33, Highland 12
Danville and Highland were tied through one quarter on Friday night, but the Bears went on to score 13 in the second, 14 in the third and six in the fourth on their way to a victory.
Sage Hartley-Norman threw one touchdown in the game. Logan McFarland ran for 111 yards and one touchdown.
Ayden Havel caught the lone 14-yard touchdown pass.
On defense, McFarland finished with 12.5 total tackles, nine of which were solo.
Regina Catholic 51, Mid-Prairie 19
Regina Catholic built up a 17-0 lead through one half against Mid-Prairie. It was a deficit the Golden Hawks couldn't make up.
Mid-Prairie bounced back with 19 through the final two quarters, but the Regals scored 34 themselves.
Brady Weber finished with 99 yards passing and one touchdown. Weber had one rushing score as well.
Hudson Ehrenfelt had 75 yards rushing.
Cobi Hershberger tallied a team-high 56 receiving yards. Blake Swart and Dylan Henry each caught a touchdown pass.
Landon Sullivan finished with a team-high 8.5 tackles.
Central Lee 55, Cardinal 0
Central Lee outscored Cardinal 34-0 through one half on Friday night.
The Hawks added 21 more in the third and the Comets could never make the comeback.
