Football season begins!

Area schools battle in scrimmages, 1 week before regular season starts

Area football teams were involved in a handful of scrimmages on Friday night, as some Union area teams prepared for the Week 1 schedule.

Union photographers were on hand for three scrimmages on Friday night. Washington hosted Muscatine. New London hosted Central Lee in a 7-on-7 scrimmage, and Mt. Pleasant traveled to Danville.

This Friday, Aug. 29, will be the official start the 2025 football season. Listed below are opening games taking place this Friday night.
