Four teams run at Lone Tree

On a chilly night, four area track teams went to Lone Tree for a big meet, that saw some big results.

Overall, there were 19 combined meet titles that were claimed by the area schools in competition at the co-ed meet, led by Highland?s nine.

Highland saw junior Kelsey Hora claim a pair of titles in the 100- and 200-meter dashes, as well as help the 4x400-meter relay team that included Murphy Beinhard, Kylie Wood and Aly Stokes to a title.

Stokes was strong in the field events for the Huskie girls, winning the high jump and the long jump.

The other title for the Huskie girls came from the distance medley relay team of Beinhart, Wood, Cheyann Adamson and Breanna Popham.

For the boys? side of the meet, Keiffer Sexton picked up meet titles in the 3200- and 1600-meter runs.

Highland also saw the 4x400-meter team of Jake Wood, Trey Lasek, James McPherson and Billy Burton pick up a meet title.

WACO earned eight meet titles at Lone Tree, led by Bryce Achen winning the 100- and 200-meter dashes, to go with the 110-meter hurdles on the boys? side of the meet.

Achen helped out the shuttle hurdle relay team of Beau Beckler, Colton Horak and Justyn Chalupa claim the meet title, while Horak also claimed the 400-meter hurdle title.

Kasey Sutton claimed the girls? 100-meter hurdle title at the meet, also helping out the shuttle hurdle relay team of McKenna White, Kiana Miller and Clara Schmitz pick up a title as well, while Mayme Hinh won the girls? shot put title.

Iowa Mennonite picked up a pair of meet titles at the meet, with Emma Beachy claiming the girls? discus title.

IMS? Drake Brezina earned the 400-meter dash title with a time of 54.30, to go with a third-place run in the 200-meter dash and finishing second in the long jump.

Keota also attended the meet, and earned its top finishes from Luke Greiner who placed third in the 100, second in the 200.
