During the second eight minutes of play, Fairfield outscored Knoxville 12-6 for a 25-9 halftime lead.
The Trojans increased their lead to 24 in the third period, outscoring the Panthers 16-8.
The fourth quarter was more of the same for Fairfield who outscored their visitors 10-5.
'All 11 players saw significant playing time as 8 of 11 players hit the scoring column,” explained Perkins.

'The freshmen finished the season with a 6-8 record, but we had four games canceled due to weather,” explained Perkins. 'I enjoyed coaching this excellent group of young people. They were never lacking in their effort nor willingness to listen and pay attention.”
