Friday is Cardinal Meet the Players night

The Cardinal A Club will be hosting its annual Meet the Players night Friday evening at the high school.

Admission to the event is one bath towel and will feature the introduction of players and coaches for each of the fall sports. The program will commence at 5:30 p.m. and continue with the presentation of Comet cheerleaders, cross country runner, football players, and finally, volleyball players. A volleyball scrimmage will follow.

The A Club will also be serving hot dogs and beverages for $1 each at the outside concession stand. The reserved parking spot auction for slots adjacent to the football field will begin at 6:30 p.m.

A football scrimmage set to begin at 7:15 p.m. will conclude the evening.

Cardinal will open its football season Aug. 26 at Danville; the volleyball team will play a tournament at Danville Aug. 27 and the cross-country squad will begin the season Aug. 30 in a meet at IMS.
