Garvey, Callahan 2nd at RVC

TIPTON - Mid-Prairie High School did not get any conference champions at the River Valley Conference meet Saturday but did have two runners-up and three third-place finishes.

Cael Garvey (36-5) took second at 160 pounds. Gannon Callahan (35-10) was second at 285.

Isaac Boucher (38-5) took third place at 195. Josh Wallington (26-4) was third at 220. Cory Allen (36-9) placed third at 182.

Mose Yoder (27-19) was fifth at 113 as was Mason Hartley (18-16) at 145 and Ben Meader (26-10) at 170.

SK boasts 3 champs

At Belle Plaine, Sigourney-Keota's Jack Clarahan (27-6 at 152), Nate Schuster (23-12 at 160) and Mason Dye (25-3 at 126) were the South Iowa Cedar League champions at their respective weights. Dye won the title match with a pin in 26 seconds while Schuster won in 1:16.

DJ Hammes (18-20) was third at 113 as was Cade Striegle (22-11) at 182 and Gavin Bird (17-19).
