Gazette releases final football rankings

The Cedar Rapids Gazette’s final high school football rankings of the year are officially here. The final rankings are only Class 5A, 4A and 3A, and no Union area teams are ranked in any of those polls.

The final rankings saw a tight race for Class 5A supremacy, as the Top-4 teams are separated by just seven votes.

In Class 4A, Lewis Central continues to sweep the first place votes. The same goes for Harlan in Class 3A.
