Mr. Tann was born Jan. 29, 1921, in Chicago, the son of Bertie and Elizabeth Louise Burkhart Tann. He married Virginia Lillian Brown. She preceded him in death in February 1977.
He graduated from York High School in Elmhurst, Ill.
He was a conductor for Chicago and Northwestern Railroad in Melrose Park, Ill., for 38 years and lived in various places such as West Chicago Ill., Richmond Center, Wis., and Bruce, Wis., before settling in Batavia.
Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Boorsma and spouse Marvin Jr.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
