Girls basketball roundup: Columbus rallies back
Wildcats erase 4th quarter deficit, upend Highland in final minutes

It was an absolute battle in Columbus as the Wildcats hosted the huskies in a Southeast Iowa Super Conference North Division battle.
Highland took a 42-39 lead into the fourth quarter, but the Wildcats clawed back to win by four.
Ariana Vergara scored 14 points to lead Columbus. Victoria Howell had 12. Aracela Garza scored nine points and yanked down 11 rebounds.
WACO 38, Louisa-Muscatine 19
WACO had to battle back from a 12-8 first quarter deficit, but the Warriors took a 22-14 lead to halftime and allowed just five Falcon points in the second half.
Ellah Kissell score 14 points in the win. Grace Coble finished with 10, and Emma Wagler had six.
It was the first win for the Columbus girls over Highland since Jan. 26, 2015.
Montezuma 68, Keota 17
Keota scored 10 of its 17 points in the first quarter, but the Eagles couldn’t keep it up against a one-loss Montezuma squad.
