Girls? golf team receives awards
The Mt. Pleasant girls? golf team had its end-of-the-year awards gathering on Monday night.
Five of the girls on the team received varsity letters: Natalie Booton, Danika Christner, Lindsay Dorn, Courtney Mabeus and Emily Cox.
Whitney Barton and Hailey Spence were participation award winners.
On top of their varsity letters, four of the girls received other honors.

The Mt. Pleasant girls? golf team had its end-of-the-year awards gathering on Monday night.
Five of the girls on the team received varsity letters: Natalie Booton, Danika Christner, Lindsay Dorn, Courtney Mabeus and Emily Cox.
Whitney Barton and Hailey Spence were participation award winners.
On top of their varsity letters, four of the girls received other honors.
Christner, Dorn and Mabeus were named scholar athletes.
Christner was also named to the all-academic Southeast Conference team for having a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 while participating in a sport.
Booton and Dorn, future roommates at William Penn and teammates on the golf team there, were recognized as members of the Iowa Girls? Coaches Association Class 3A all-district team.
