Girls roundup: Highland, Pekin get North division wins
Huskies and Panthers each get divisional wins

A slew of Union area girls basketball teams competed on Tuesday night, with just two coming away with wins.
Highland 54, Lousia-Muscatine 44
Highland outscored Lousia-Muscatine in three of the four quarters en route to the victory. The Huskies held a 23-15 lead at the half and outscored the Falcons 32-29 in the second to grab a win a North Division win.
Dani Laughlin scored 17 points for Highland, Jessica Kraus went for 15 and Abbi Stransky finished with 14.
Pekin 40, Columbus 19
Pekin had no trouble against Columbus, the Panthers outscored the Wildcats in each of the four quarters for a SEISC North victory.
Kerrigan Pope led with a game-high 18 points for Pekin. Claire Roth added 11.
Lily Coil paced Columbus with 11.
Iowa Valley 50, Keota 36
Keota had the game within one point, 25-24, heading into the fourth, but Iowa Valley went on to pour in 25 points in the fourth to get past the Eagles.
Regina Catholic 52, Mid-Prairie 31
The Golden Hawks couldn’t find the answer to slow down the Regals offensively on Tuesday night.
Mid-Prairie found itself down 30-16 at halftime, and couldn’t cut the lead. Regina Catholic outscored Mid-Prairie 22-15 in the second half.
Maddie Nonnenmann scored a game-high 17 for the Golden Hawks.
West Burlington 82, New London 36
New London struggled to limit West Burlington on the offensive side of the ball, en rout to a 46 point defeat.
The Tigers were outscored 49-16 in the first half, and 33-20 in the second.
