Girls run junior high meets

The Washington seventh- and eighth-grade girls track tyeams ran at Ottumwa Thursday.
The eighth grade finished third with 53 points behind Pella with 158 and Fairfield with 66.
Makenna Conrad (long jump of 14 feet, 6 inches) and Molly Klinzman (100 meters in 13.8 seconds) were victors for the Demons.
Second places were Alex Murphy's shot put of 27-1, Klinzman's 100 hurdles in 17.91 and the 4x100 meter relay's time of 56.89 with Gracey Simmering, Klinzman, Alecia Goff and Makenna Conrad.
Grace Voss was third in the high jump at 4-6 and the 400 in 1 minute, 12.86 seconds.
Kaylin Long was fourth in the 400 at 1:15.65 and and the 800 with a time of 3:06.45. Ally Rees placed fourth in the shot at 25-10.5. Conrad took fourth in the 200 at 30.02.
Voss, Conrad, Long and Goff ran the 4x4 in 4:58.53 to place fourth.
Anna Collett was fifth in the 800 in 3:09.74.
The seventh grade was fifth with 34 points. Pella won with 124.
Three relays finished in second place - the 4x2 (Taylor Bartholomew, Giselle Marcelino, Abby Kleese, Kourtney Moeller) in 2:07.67, the 4x4 (Audrey Anderson, Bartholomew, Moeller, Marcelino) in 5:00.45 and the 4x1 (Batholomew, Moeller, Anderson, Kleese) in 59.8.
The 4x8 (Emery Walton, CeCe Murphy, Madison Hesseltine, Marcelino) took third with a time of 12:54.03. Rylee Lib was third in the discus at 52-4. Anderson was third in the long jump with a distance of 13-4.5 and fourth in the 100 hurdles at 18.96. Bartholomew took fourth in the long jump at 12-11.5.
