Mt. Pleasant?s Sydney Doak made the score 4-0 with a goal to close out the first half.
Kaela Welcher scored the final goal after only a minute into the second half to round out the scoring.
Even though the Demons lost, the girls still played better says coach Kyle Collins.
?I think the passing had something to do with that,? he says. ?Although we lost communication in the second half.?
After the last goal was scored, Washington kept Mt. Pleasant from scoring the rest of the game and Collins is pleased to see that.
?That?s a positive,? he says. ?If we can get that into the girls? heads at the beginning of the game, these would be turnaround games.?
The Pathers had 16 shots on goal compared to Washington?s three.
The girls are host to Mediapolis Thursday, April 24. What will be the focus of practice in the next couple of days?
?Hopefully the communication,? Collins says. ?Today was a really bad communication day.
?If we can get the girls communicating, playing as one full team, that would eliminate a lot of our problems and turn our season around a little bit.?
The girls play at 4 p.m. followed by the boys game on the soccer field at the high school.
