Golden Hawks break record

ALBIA - Mid-Prairie broke a 22-year old record with its high school football win Friday over Albia.
The Golden Hawks scored a 77-13 win over the Blue Demons. The previous mark for points scored in a game was 72 in 1997 against Wilton.
Kayden Reinier found the end zone five times for the Hawks with a long run of 93 yards. He finished with 270 on 20 carries.
Vinny Bowlin scored three touchdowns with a long of 80 yards. He finished with 141 on seven carries.
Nathan Quinby scored twice on just four carries for the Hawks.
Brad Tornow was 6 of 9 passing for 108 yards including a 22-yard TD pass to Chris Miller. Jack Baker, Zeb Danner, Cole Davis, Keegan Gingrich and Reinier each caught a pass.
Justice Jones led the Mid-Prairie defense with 8 tackles including seven solo stops.
Bowlin, Jones, Miller and Tornow each had an interception.
Mid-Prairie ends its season with a 6-3 record.
