Golden Hawks burst into 2023

This could be another banner year for Mid-Prairie cross-country. Not only are both teams coming off state qualifications, but senior Danielle Hostetler has the chance to make history by becoming just the second-ever four-time state champion in Iowa girls cross-country history.
Mid-Prairie finished fifth in the girls’ state race, and they bring the majority of talent back this season. The Golden Hawk boys took 13th.
The Mid-Prairie volleyball team 27-12 last season, and knocked off both Washington and Davis County in postseason play.
Sophomore Jovi Evant (202 kills, 370 assists) leads Mid-Prairie into 2023 on the volleyball quart. Sophomore Harper Pacha collected 173 kills last season, and junior Dakota Mitchell had 630 digs.
The Mid-Prairie football team went 6-4 last year and advanced to the Class 2A second round.
The vast majority of the Mid-Prairie football team was lost to graduation, although senior Landon Sullivan rushed for 130 yards and a score last season. Junior Landry Gingerich ran for 87 yards.
