Golden Hawks defeat Pella Christian in boys soccer
WELLMAN — The Mid-Prairie boys soccer team advanced to play Albia in the Class 1A postseason with Thursday’s victory over Pella Christian 3-0.
Gunnar Gingerich, Zeus Fugate and Aaron Slaubaugh each scored a goal for the Golden Hawks.
Jackson Pennington and Fugate produced an assist each.
Mid-Prairie had 27 shots, 17 on goal. Gingerich led with seven shots.
Pella Christian ends its year at 2-13. Mid-Prairie advances at 10-4.
