Golden Hawks girls golf edges Bears
Mid-Prairie defeats West Branch by just seven strokes

WEST BRANCH — Mid-Prairie girls golf got a big win on Monday afternoon against the Bears of West Branch.
In a head-to-head that was separated by just seven strokes, the Golden Hawks were able to edge the Bears, 202 to 209.
Leading the Golden Hawks in the meet was Gabi Robertson, who ended as a co-medalist on the day, with a final score of 48.
Robertson tied with West Branch’s Claire Jarrett for the top spot.
Along with Robertson, the rest of the Golden Hawk squad had a nice showing as well.
Finishing three shots behind Robertson was teammates Addison English and Alexa Huber. English and Huber both notched matching 51s.
Kylie Reinier and Madi Davidson each carded 52s in the meet. Elliot Debler finished with a 53, Lilly Miller ended with 55 and Madison Witthoft shot a 63 in the competition.
With the win over West Branch, Mid-Prairie moves to 2-0 in River Valley Conference play and sits at 2-2 overall.
The Golden Hawks will return to the course on Monday, April 10 in Kalona to go head-to-head with Tipton at 4 p.m.
