Golden Hawks girls golf seventh in Class 2A
Mid-Prairie’s Reinier leads with top 20 finish a state meet

MARSHALLTOWN — The Mid-Prairie girls golf team capped off its season at the Class 2A Girls State Golf Tournament on Thursday and Friday.
The Golden Hawks finished the state final with a seventh-place finish after tallying 751 points.
Mid-Prairie missed out on sixth by just two strokes.
Leading the Golden Hawks in the competition was Kylie Reinier.
Reinier finished 19th overall with a total score of 181. She shot a 93 in round one and topped that in the second with an 88.
Madi Davidson had a well rounded opening round shooting an 89 for a tie at 10th. She finished with a 97 in the second to total 186. That was good enough for 26th.
Finishing 34th was Gabi Robertson. Robertson shot 101 and 92 for a total of 193.
Addison English picked up a 39th place finish for the Golden Hawks. English shot 99 to open the tournament and 95 to finish with 194.
Elliott Debler ended the tournament with a total of 198 for 47th. Debler shot a 98 and 100 in the two day state meet.
Finishing 61st was Alexa Huber with a final score of 213. Huber carded 107 and 106 in the pair of days.
As a squad, the Golden Hawks opened the tournament with a total score of 379. Heading into day two they were just one shot behind Van Meter, 378.
In the final round, Mid-Prairie shot seven strokes better with a 372.
