Golden Hawks grounded by Lightning

WELLMAN - Iowa City Liberty ruined Mid-Prairie's Homecoming football game with a 33-6 win over the Golden Hawks.
'We played a good team in Liberty,” Mid-Prairie coach Pete Cavanaugh said. 'They were physical and ran the ball well.”
Kayden Reinier scored the Golden Hawks touchdown with a 23-yard run. he finished with 23 carries and 82 yards. He also had a fumble recovery, made six tackles including one for loss. Teammate justice Jones had 12.5 tackles.
Hawks quarterback Brad Tornow went 4 for 11 with Chris Miller catching three for 22 yards total.
'We will bounce back this week, when we start district play,” Cavanaugh said.
Mid-Prairie (2-2) hosts Central Lee (0-4) Friday.
