Golden Hawks lose volleyball match to No. 4 West Liberty

WEST LIBERTY — Mid-Prairie’s volleyball season ended Wednesday with a Class 3A postseason loss to the fourth-ranked West Liberty Comets 3-0.
The Golden Hawks most successful season since 2015 (Ended with a 16-16 record) and first winning season since 2008 (11-8-2 according to Varsity Bound) ends with a 16-14 record.
The set scores were 25-14, 25-9, 25-12 for the Comets.

Mid-Prairie junior Ella Groenewold, who is fourth in Class 3A in total blocks anmd seventh in solos without the West Liberty stats, was named All-River Valley Conference Elite and was joined by freshman teammate Dakota Mitchell, who is tied for seventh in Class 3A in service aces, eighth in digs. Senior Cana Rediger and junior Landry Pacha were picks for the All-South Division Team..
