The Mid-Prairie High School boys golf team won its third straight dual meet to start the season, obliterating Louisa-Muscatine 160-260.
The Golden Hawks score was the lowest of their first three meets.
Noah Schlabaugh was the meet medalist for the third time this season.
'He shot a spectacular round of 2-under par 33,” MP coach Kelby Bender said. 'Noah birdied the par-4 opening hole to start the round. After a par on the the second hole, he hit a great drive to the middle of the fairway 40 yards form the hole. Noah preceded to sink his second shot for an eagle 2 on the par-4 third. He finished the round with six pars and a bogey.”
Dominic McCain shot a 40 to earn his first runner-up medal.
'He bounced back after an early-round double bogey to make four pars and finish strong,” Bender said.
Rounding out the scoring were seniors Ryan Smit with a 43 and Chaz Patterson with a 44.
