Golden Hawks sweep Holy Trinity softball

FORT MADISON — Mid-Prairie swept a nonconference softball doubleheader from Holy Trinity Wednesday, 13-3 in seven and 15-1 in four innings.
In the 15-1 game, Landry Pacha launched a solo home run, cracked a double and hit a single while Mid-Prairie teammate Hannah Sellers plated four runs with two singles and a double.
Gabi Robertson had two doubles and a single and Dawsyn Miller was 3-for-3. Myah Lugar allowed four hits but no walks with eight strikeouts.
In the seven-inning win Brittany Kissinger went 4-for-4 with a double. Dakota Mitchell batted in three runs with a triple and two singles. Katelyn Schneider and Madeline Schrader each went 3-for-5. Cana Redinger had a double for the Golden Hawks, who have a record of 6-22. Holy Trinity is 5-11.
