Golden Hawks take third at IMS Invitational
The Mid-Prairie boys? cross-country team took third place at Monday?s IMS Invitational at the Wellman Golf Course.
Mid-Prairie totaled 95 points and finished behind Vinton-Shellsburg, which won the meet with 27 points, and Solon, which had 71 points.

Washington head coach Steve Roth was pleased with his squad?s performance at the meet.
?I had seven people who ran faster than they did last year at this time,? he said. ?We had some good, quality races.?
The meet was one of the tougher ones the Demons will run at this season.
?There was some great competition,? Roth said.
Now the Demons will prepare for the Southeast Conference meet in Fort Madison on Oct. 11.
?We have 10 days to get healthy and get ready for the conference cross-country meet,? Roth said. ?We have our two postseason meets coming up now. It?s nice to have 10 days off to get healthy.?
