Greiner sets St. Ambrose record

A Washington High School alum left her mark in the St. Ambrose University record books on Wednesday night.

Sydney Greiner, a senior at St. Ambrose, hit 10 3-pointers in a game against Roosevelt, setting a career high in points with 38 in the contest.

Greiner broke the record for 3-pointers in a single game with 3:25 left in the contest, when she hit her ninth, and added another with under two minutes to play to help her team pick up the 75-60 victory.

Greiner?s Bees are 15-6 on the season, and she is averaging 13.7 points and 4.4 rebounds per game for her team.

She leads the team with 57 made 3-pointers, hitting them at a rate of 39.6 percent on the year, leads the team in minues, with 26.3 per game, while also being among the team leaders in free-throw shooting, hitting on 82 percent of her chances.
