The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks travel to Clinton?s Lumber Kings Stadium to play the Camanche Indians Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

The Hawks are now 1-3 after a loss to Mount Vernon.

The Indians are are 0-4.

The Hawks have missed Senior quarterback Karson Gingerich, who has been sidelined with a high ankle sprain.

His status remains unknown for Friday?s game.

?We had a pretty good week of practice. We are starting to get some kids back healthy. We would like to get more consistent on offense and not give up big plays on defense. We are looking forward to this week and getting back on track,? said Head Coach Pete Cavanagh.

Columbus Junction

Columbus Junction, 1-3, will host Wapello, 2-2.

Sigourney-Keota

S-K, will travel to Van Buren, Keosaqua, 1-3.

WACO

Waco, 2-3, plays English Valleys at home.

Overview ? Oskaloosa probably poses the last serious threat for the Spartans? stampede through the regular season.

The Spartans have been as impressive and as dominant as anybody in Class 3A through the first four weeks, blanking Mount Vernon and Iowa City Regina, then winning their first two district games by a combined 94-7.

Sophomore QB Cam Miller has passed for 653 yards and nine touchdowns without an interception.
