Gymnastics team holds intrasquad meet
The Fairfield Park and Rec gymnastics team held a Halloween intrasquad meet Saturday.
Juliette Pohren was the big winner on the day, finishing first in floor exercises, bars and vault exercises. Gracie Simmering was first in trampoline, while Summer Loetz came in first on the beam.

The Fairfield Park and Rec gymnastics team held a Halloween intrasquad meet Saturday.
Juliette Pohren was the big winner on the day, finishing first in floor exercises, bars and vault exercises. Gracie Simmering was first in trampoline, while Summer Loetz came in first on the beam.
Michelle Zhang finished runner-up in trampoline and vault exercises, Bryanna Popejoy finished second on floor exercises and Danae Drish was second on the beam. Loetz added second- and third-place finishes on the bars and vault exercises, respectively.
Other third-place finishes came from Pohren in trampoline and the beam. Justin Simmering tied with Pohren for third in trampoline, and he also finished third in floor exercises and on the bars.
The team is coached by Jeff Ide of Brighton. Members of the team will compete in U.S.A. Gymnastics-sponsored EXEL competition in Coralville Nov. 17-18.
