Thursday came as a relief for Highland senior Courtnee Hahn.
The Highland softball catcher officially signed to play college softball for Indian Hills Community College after she graduates this spring, and the senior is relieved to have everything set in stone.
?There?s a lot lifted off my shoulders,? Hahn said. ?I don?t have to worry about what college I?m going to or filling out applications, because that?s done and over with.?
Hahn had an on-base percentage of .487 last season for the Huskies, batting .333 and knocking in 23 RBIs, as they took fourth in the state tournament last year.
Her play on the field, as well as her personality, were a big reason the Warriors wanted her on their team.
?She brings a spark. She has something in her and a passion for the game,? Indian Hills assistant coach Kylie Vry said. ?She?s a hardworking, good kid and she comes from a great family. We were excited to find someone who fits into our program and we think she?s going to a great job at Indian Hills.?
Hahn said her and the Highland team?s focus is now getting back to the state tournament this summer.
