Hawk boys start track season
Seven Mid-Prairie boys? track members opened their season on Tuesday, going to the Iowa State High School Indoor Classic in Ames.
Mid-Prairie junior Levi Duwa took sixth in the shot put, out of the 105 throwers in attendance, opening his year with a throw of 49 feet, 2 inches.
Marshal Teets also competed in the field events, taking 22nd in the high jump.

Mid-Prairie junior Levi Duwa took sixth in the shot put, out of the 105 throwers in attendance, opening his year with a throw of 49 feet, 2 inches.
Marshal Teets also competed in the field events, taking 22nd in the high jump.
Jackson Young ran in the 60-meter dash, finishing with a time of 8.02, while Quinn Schmidt ran a 55.72 in the 400-meters.
Two Hawk relays took part in the event, with Young, Teets, Schmidt and Peyton Miller taking part in the 1600-meter medley. The team finished in 10th at the meet, with a time of 3:54.61.
The 4x800-meter relay team of Miller, Ryan Errthum, Luke Sigler and Floyd Evans finished in 13th at the meet, with a time of 8:46.47.
