Hawkeyes travel to face rival Iowa State
DES MOINES ? Iowa and Iowa State renew their annual series on Friday night as two rivals struggling to find their way.
The Hawkeyes (5-4) are coming off an ugly 80-60 loss at Northern Iowa on Tuesday night, its fourth defeat in six games. The Cyclones (6-3) have been uneven at best, dropping games to instate rivals Drake and Northern Iowa.

The Hawkeyes (5-4) are coming off an ugly 80-60 loss at Northern Iowa on Tuesday night, its fourth defeat in six games. The Cyclones (6-3) have been uneven at best, dropping games to instate rivals Drake and Northern Iowa.
The game is still a very big deal to both programs. Iowa State coach Fred Hoiberg says there's something different about the atmosphere of the game.
