Hawks take second at home relays
The Mid-Prairie boys? track team went into the weekend with some strong performances on Friday afternoon.
The Golden Hawks hosted the boys? Hawk Relays on Friday, and finished second as a team, with one school record being smashed.
Mid-Prairie junior Levi Duwa broke his own record in the discus, launching a throw for 163 feet ? 4 feet in the event, winning the title.

The Mid-Prairie boys? track team went into the weekend with some strong performances on Friday afternoon.
The Golden Hawks hosted the boys? Hawk Relays on Friday, and finished second as a team, with one school record being smashed.
Mid-Prairie junior Levi Duwa broke his own record in the discus, launching a throw for 163 feet ? 4 feet in the event, winning the title.
Duwa also used a throw of 52 feet ? 8.5 inches in the shot put to claim the title for the day.
Peyton Miller claimed an individual title on the day, winning the 400-meter hurdles, while Marshall Teets finished in second in the high jump and third in the long jump.
Cary Schaefer earned second place in the 400-meter dash, while Floyd Evans earned a pair of top-5 finishes in the 1600- and 3200-meter runs.
?Overall there were too many personal records tonight to mention each one,? Mid-Prairie track coach Aaron Fleming said. ?That is very exciting because it shows the boys? hard work is paying off and the team is moving in the right direction.?
