Mid-Prairie’s Henry and Schlabaugh earn medalist honors

KALONA — The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys golf teams picked up a big River Valley Conference win on Monday night over the Bears of West Branch.

It was an all around great showing for the Golden Hawks as they defeated West Branch by a score of 177-185.

Along with the team win, the Golden Hawks also finished with the two highest individual scores as well.

Bryce Henry led the Golden Hawks with a final score of 42, while Drew Schlabaugh finish two strokes behind with a 44.

Rounding out the Golden Hawks on the course were Warren Scarff with a 45, Aiden Bush with 46 and Alex Bean and Clayton Davidson each with 47s.

On the season, Mid-Prairie is currently 3-1 overall and 2-0 in RVC play.

The Golden Hawks will be back in action next Monday on the road at Tipton, who is currently 8-2 on the season.
