Hawks win softball tournament
The Southeast Iowa Hawks Gold 18U fastpitch softball team won the USSSA ISP 18UA Fall Nationals over Labor Day weekend in Ankeny after going undefeated with a record of 8-0.

The team will next travel to play in the 18U Gold Bracket of the 16th Annual St. Louis Softball Showcase I on Oct. 25-27, featuring 144 traveling softball teams from across the country.
