Huskies look strong in local girls’ golf meet

WASHINGTON — Both Washington and Highland were at Washington Golf and Country Club for the Demons’ home girls invite on Monday. It was the Huskies that shined the brightest, finishing second place.
Highland ended the day with a stroke total of 374, just 23 shots behind first-place Lisbon but a full 53 ahead of third-place Oskaloosa. Washington finished sixth, at 488.
Emersyn Schultz finished second overall for the Huskies, shooting an 83 to lead the way. Adisyn Prottsman and Adeline Krotz shot 93 and 97 for fifth and sixth.
Joslyn Prottsman shot a 101 for the Huskies. Cassidy Duster finished at 125, and Autumn Guseman shot a 126.
Lauren Hinrichsen and Lucy Sands coled the Demons with a 114 each. Sydney Strouder shot 122, and Presley Hora finished at 138.
