Highland boys winning streak continues
The Highland boys? basketball team saw their winning streak continue after beating Wapello 60-42 Tuesday, Jan. 3.
Highland took the lead after the first quarter going up 17-12. Highland added another 14 points in the second quarter while Wapello doubled their points putting the score at 31-24 at the break.

The Highland boys? basketball team saw their winning streak continue after beating Wapello 60-42 Tuesday, Jan. 3.
Highland took the lead after the first quarter going up 17-12. Highland added another 14 points in the second quarter while Wapello doubled their points putting the score at 31-24 at the break.
Wapello was held back to only scoring eight points in the third quarter while Highland scored 16 points. The Huskies added another 13 in the fourth quarter and Wapello put up 10, securing the victory for Highland.
Zack Lasek scored 26 points in the game while having nine rebounds, one assist and one block. Bill Burton was the next highest scorer with nine points. He also had four rebounds, two assists, three steals and one block.
Jake Wood scored seven points, had one rebound, three assists and two steals. Trent Lasek scored nine points and had two rebounds, four assists and seven steals. Chase Rath contributed six points, had two rebounds and two assists. Trey Lasek had three points, three rebounds, six assists and one steal.
The boys are 8-0 and will take to the court at New London Friday, Jan. 6.
