Highland girls defeat West Burlington
The Highland softball team hosted West Burlington Wednesday night and defeated their guests 4-2. Paige Wieland got the win for the Huskies as she surrendered four hits and four walks while striking out three.
Highland struck first by putting up two tallies in the first frame. West Burlington answered with two of their own in the fourth, but Highland untied the game by tacking on two more runs in the fifth inning

The Highland softball team hosted West Burlington Wednesday night and defeated their guests 4-2. Paige Wieland got the win for the Huskies as she surrendered four hits and four walks while striking out three.
Highland struck first by putting up two tallies in the first frame. West Burlington answered with two of their own in the fourth, but Highland untied the game by tacking on two more runs in the fifth inning to clinch the victory.
The Huskies recorded five hits Wednesday, one of which was Joshlayn Stout?s run-scoring double. Mariah Freel also had a nice night at the plate, going 2-3.
West Burlington?s pitcher Kaitlyn Caston struck out seven hitters and walked none in the losing effort. West Burling made three errors while Highland made four.
